Redemption Bible Church begins a new sermon series entitled "Prophetic Voices," a look at the prophet Nahum. Pastor Jason Mayhall teaches how prophets tell us of the incentives of being obedient to God. The book of Nahum picks up where Jonah left off, and we see how Nineveh has not become a pillar of God's community but has continued to challenge God. God tells Nahum that it is time for God's wrath, but also that God's comfort is on the way to His people. We should see in this that God will fix injustice, but the story also states that He is slow to anger. His wrath will always be shown in His timing. We should not doubt that God sees us and knows what we are going through, and He will fix the injustice seen in our lives, but we must be patient and obedient.
