Paul's letter to the Philippians reads like "a joyful embrace." How does it look for a community of faith to live in such a way toward one another? "When God gives you something good, you ought to share it!" Our physical distance from one another doesn't have to mean isolation from one another. Send a hug!

Christians have a pretty short list of things that define our belief: Father, Son, Holy Spirit...communion...forgiveness of sins...resurrection...you know the rest. So why do we figure out more and more ways to further divide ourselves? Can we peacefully exist under one banner? Or do we "run the risk of knowing that our love may soon be gone"?

According to our current (some would say "worldly") ideas of fairness, some of Jesus' parables just don't make sense to us. They might even make us uncomfortable! Can we let go of our ideas of fairness and embrace the realities of God's gift of grace? What if it means others don't get what we think they deserve? What if it means we don't get what we think we deserve?
