Our Town

In this episode we had the privilege of speaking with Lipa Schwartz, the founder and executive director of Misameach, an incredible organization that has touched the lives of countless people by lifting the spirits of children and adults who are hospitalized, bedridden, or have physical disabilities.

Lipa's journey began with a conversation at a lunch table which led to just a small act of kindness, where he visited a sick person, and it snowballed into something much bigger. Misameach started with just one act of kindness, but it has since become a beacon of hope for people who are facing difficult times.

During our conversation with Lipa, we were inspired by the incredible stories he shared about many of the frum singers and entertainers who join him on his mission to bring joy to those in need. These performers go to great lengths to bring a smile to someone's face, and their dedication to Misameach's mission is truly remarkable.

Join us as we explore Lipa's journey and learn more about the amazing work that Misameach is doing, bringing joy and happiness to those who need it most.

Join us for an inspiring episode with Yeshi Goori, an outdoor enthusiast, co-founder The Kollel and NESIVOS. Yeshi's journey began in the year 2000, as he worked tirelessly to create summer programs that kept youth active and engaged during their extended break.
Through this work, he discovered a growing concern for struggling bochurim, both in and out of yeshiva, and recognized the need for a safe and supportive environment. This led to the founding of The Kollel in 2001, a unique program that created an environment conducive to growth and where bochurim felt accepted.

Yeshi's creative approach to guiding youth continued to evolve as he realized the importance of collaboration between schools, parents, and mentors in providing comprehensive therapy. In 2008, he co-founded NESIVOS, an organization dedicated to guiding youth and their families on a path towards healing and success. NESIVOS offers licensed professional assessments, treatment plans, and case management to ensure all avenues are covered and goals are met.

In this episode, Yeshi shares his innovative approach to helping teens and their families on their journey towards a brighter future.
