Welcome to the Out and Loud podcast series. Hosted by Ajuki and Erika.
Stepping away from the anonymity that has become FOMO, Ajuki has lots to say and is ready to speak her mind. Erika is a multi-faceted creative that empathetically listens, giving others a safe space to share.
Out & Loud is a podcast collaboration series with LGBTQ+ Collective FOMO and the Podcast, Speak Up Erika. Following in tradition of Speak Up, Erika and Ajuki will be discussing issues many are afraid to talk about but should, while including the perspective and voices of real queer people within the LGBTQ+ community in Toronto.
Today we’re talking with Déjà (@kjdeja) about oversharing on social media & question if social media is a safe space. Déjà, Ajuki, and Erika speak about their personal experiences with social media, work and vulnerability while posting online.
About the Hosts
Ajuki (@ajukix) is queer creative artist. The first official FOMO (@fomo.to) event took place in the winter of 2018 with the help of many LGBTQ+ community members and with it’s success Ajuki quickly saw the need for more inclusive, queer spaces. Additionally, Ajuki is an emerging singer/songwriter and the creator and host of the radio show Northbound.
Erika (@lalalaerika) is an author, podcast, and event producer. Her book "Speak Up is a collection of creative, non-fiction, short stories where she should have spoken up but didn't. Erika continues these vulnerable conversations on her podcast, Speak Up Erika (@speakuperika).
