What's in a label? 

Holly and Trey sit down with Dr. Dana Stachowiak (they/them), the Director of the Women’s Studies and Resource Center at UNCW to discuss  labels in the queer community. Join us for a conversation on why labels are important, generational differences, the future of labels,  and Dana's personal experiences navigating labels in the south.   

Plus! We touch on topics like Foucault, Oscar Wilde, and Second Wave Feminism. How fun! 

Holly and Trey sit down with Rev. John to talk about Christmas! The most joyous time of the year can be a challenge for someone that feels like an outsider, and can be doubly challenging for folks in the queer community. We chat about family of choice, coping with winter blues, and dealing with unsupportive family members.

Trey and Holly speak to TR Nunley (he/him), a Human Services Caseworker for New Hanover County Health and Human Services. TR opens up about his experiences with his personal gender dysphoria and euphoria, his work in the local community advocating for LGBTQIA rights, and his experiences with top surgery. We also touch on hormones, biology (badly), and Elliott Page.

Trey and Holly sit down with Caroline Morin-Gage (she/her), Executive Director of the LGBTQ Center of the Cape Fear Coast, to discuss the history of the center, safe spaces, and Caroline and Trey's unique bond over growing up as military brats! Caroline also delves into why she's an LGBTQ rights advocate,  and details a local policy that affects minority groups in Wilmington, NC. 

Young gun Jayden (he/them) puts down the TikTok and the Fortnight for a few minutes to chat with Holly and Trey about growing queer as a member of the "gayest generation". 

We chat about pronouns, generational differences, hormones, and the Matrix. 

We got a real live reverend for this one! Trey chats with Rev. John, an openly gay reverend  from Wilmington, NC about the differing views of the Christian faith on sexuality and gender.

Matt joins co-host Trey on a deep dive into LGBTQIA representation in the media. Matt gives an overview of the history ranging from the Hayes Code to the internet.
