At the request of our audience, we decided to address Grand Configurations in Astrology, that is patterns or shapes that are formed by many different planets being aspected among one another. We talked a bit about what they are, why they are important and then used Princess Diana’s chart as an example for the unusual Yod or Finger of God. Then we moved on to analysing some Grand Trines, one in the fire element in Elizabeth Moss' chart, and the other one in the air element in Agatha Christie's chart. Is there an astrological signature for serial killers? Can you see in a chart if the person is going to be a psychopath? We briefly discussed here the "Statistical analysis of the birth charts of serial killers" by Jan Ruis, PhD, published in Correlations 25. In this episode, we have interviewed Paul Kiernan, an astrologer who has researched for his MA dissertation the different house systems in astrology and why astrologers adhere to one or another. In the podcast, he told us about his motivation to do this research, how he carried it out and his conclusions. Also, he has brought some light on why the whole controversy about the house system may have started, which took us to the question: what is a house system? Finally, he shared some ideas about astrology and the younger generations of astrologers. Paul Kiernan is passionate about astrology and research. He was awarded a reward by the teaching staff of the MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology at the University of Wales due to his excellent work when researching the History of Astrology. We invited Rod Chang, an expert in mundane astrology, and the founder of Academy of Astrology for a debate on the review of the recently released "Changing of the Gods" documentary and his mundane astrological view on the situation of Ukraine. We had an interesting discussion on how to apply astrological techniques to the Ukraine situation and the value of Mundane Astrology.

In this episode, we had a little fun talking about some of the most typical astro-excuses and the reasons why we hold on to them. We then moved to more serious ground when reflecting if they may be blocking an opportunity for inner growth.

The ‘Out of Bounds Astrology’ podcast is made from a series of astrological dialogues which we hope will be refreshing, insightful, fun and outside the box, a unique contribution to your, and ours, learning journey.  We are the out of bounders, with no sense of fully belonging anywhere geographically or ‘age wise’ (being too old to be young and too young to be old). We are candidates for the MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology at the University of Wales but pretty much non-academic people at the same time. With our general passion for ideas, different perspectives and, obviously, astrology (the kind that empowers you), we thought: why not create a podcast together to share all of this?!
