Alex and Stuart reunite for the latest episode of Out of Heroes, the Superhero Podcast from the Out of Lives network. Scott can’t make it this week due to technical issues, but he manages to express his feelings on the Suicide Squad movie through the magic of VT. The boys also review the first season of Outcast, and a handful of comics from Marvel and DC.

There’s plenty of news from Marvel Studios this week, as Thor Ragnarok rumours surface from the set, and Vin Diesel confirms the Guardians will be making an appearance in Infinity War. There’s also some controversy around Spider-Man Homecoming casting, and a new TV show on the way in the form of Brian K Vaughan’s Runaways.

In comics, we look back at the interesting sales figures for July, and forward to books coming out in November. Alex, Stuart and Scott are back with another episode of your favourite Superhero podcast, discussing the latest news from San Diego Comic Con 2016. Rather than sticking to the usual format, it’s an all-news episode broken up into Movies, Television, Games and Comic Book segments.

In movies, there are trailers from Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, Justice League and Doctor Strange, as well as a bunch of new deets on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, Thor Ragnarok, Spider-Man Homecoming, and Captain Marvel. In Television there are trailers for The Flash Season 3 and Arrow Season 5, as well as some teasers from Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders, and some zombie-icing on the cake in the form of a Walking Dead Season 7 trailer.

There are a couple of bits of Games news, as Marvel are re-releasing Ultimate Alliance 1 & 2 on current gen consoles, and a couple of new character announcements for Injustice 2. For a Comic-Convention we’re a little light on comic book news, but Marvel drop some new details about Dan Slott’s next big Spider-Man story, and Inhumans vs X-Men is revealed.

This week they review a couple of Marvel books; Captain America: Steve Rogers #2 by Nick Spencer and Jesus Saiz, and Captain Marvel #6 (Civil War II Tie-In) by Tara Butters & Kris Anka. They also talk about the two newest comic-related TV shows, Episode 5 of  Garth Ennis’ Preacher, and Robert Kirkman’s latest adaptation, Outcast.

In the news this week there’s a spattering of everything, including some TV Casting news for Agents of SHIELD, The Flash and Arrow, some Arkham news from Rocksteady, and a stream of new teasers from Marvel Comics.

At the end of the episode, the boys discuss all things Justice League, including all the rumours from the set, and all the nonsense out of Zack Snyder’s mouth.
