This episode, we welcome Tina! She is one of the Co-Directors of Professional Events on the WiB executive board. We loved discussing what we did over break, some habits we picked up (and dropped), and what we are looking forward to this semester. Trying to start the year off on the right foot...we'll see how long that lasts.

It's always good to reflect. No one is perfect, and we all have room for improvement. It was so great to hear from Tina who is interested in event planning but we think she could be a therapist instead. Tune in to hear more about our crazy breaks! In this episode, Rebecca and Victoria dive into all things internships.

Victoria shares her experience with a more traditional internship and working in a corporate setting. She shares important details of all she wish she knew going into this new experience.

Meanwhile, Rebecca’s path looked very different. She talks about working in the marketing department of a civil engineering firm as a high school senior, and later doing marketing and event planning at Park Theatre, an event venue. No intern group, no onboarding buddies, she was a lone wolf, the youngest one in the building, figuring it all out on her own.

Together, they compare their wildly different internship journeys from interviews, commutes, coworker relationships, behind-the-scenes moments, and day-in-the-life realities to show that no two internships look the same and everyone’s path into the professional world is valid.
