Out of Spoons

Listen Later

Michele is on her own this week while River takes a little sabbatical due to not having enough spoons. This is the shortest podcast in history. HAHA

What does that mean you ask?

The phrase “not having enough spoons” originates from the Spoon Theory, a metaphor used to describe the limited amount of energy or mental and physical resources that people, particularly those with chronic illnesses or disabilities, have available each day.

So, when someone says, “I don’t have enough spoons,” they mean they don’t have the energy, physical capability, or mental/emotional capacity to take on more tasks or challenges at that moment. It’s a way of communicating their limits and the need for rest or to prioritize how they use their remaining energy.

We know River will be back soon.

Hugs + High Fives!
