Robert Fantina is an author and journalist, working for peace and social justice. He writes extensively about U.S. foreign policy and the Middle East, with a focus on Palestine. Amy Milne-Smith is an Associate Professor of History at Wilfrid Laurier University. Amy recently completed a monograph entitled "Out of his Mind: Masculinity and mental illness in Victorian Britain" which interrogates how Victorians made sense of the madman as both a social reality and a cultural representation. Even at the height of enthusiasm for the curative powers of nineteenth-century psychiatry, to be certified as a lunatic meant a loss of one’s freedom and in many ways one’s identify.

Benjamin Cunningham is a journalist, writer and PhD candidate at the Universitat de Barcelona. His book “The Liar: How a Double Agent in the CIA Became the Last Honest Man of the Cold War” during the mid-1970s, the CIA and KGB watched Karel Koecher closely—they were both convinced he was working for the enemy. And they were both right. Traveling with his wife, Hana, Koecher posed as a Czechoslovak asylum seeker and arrived in the US as a Communist sleeper agent. After parlaying a doctorate from Columbia into a job at the CIA, Koecher proceeded to operate as a double agent at the height of the Cold War.

Edward Alwood is a former CNN correspondent who reported on the White House, Congress and various federal agencies. Prior to that, he reported for WTTG-TV (Channel 5) in Washington, D.C. Alwood is published in several academic journals and has written two books, including “Dark Days in the Newsroom: McCarthyism Aimed at the Press,” traces how journalists became radicalized during the Depression era, only to become targets of Senator Joseph McCarthy and like-minded anti-Communist crusaders during the 1950s.

Christopher Ferguson holds a PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Central Florida. He has clinical experience particularly in working with offender and juvenile justice populations as well as conducting evaluations for child protective services. Chris is the author of "How Madness Shaped History: An Eccentric Array of Maniacal Rulers, Raving Narcissists, and Psychotic Visionaries" considers the impact of psychology on world events, looking at how mental illness and personality disorders have affected history.

Eric Wilson is a senior lecturer of law at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. Eric is the editor of a series of works on critical criminology, the first volume of which was published by Pluto Press in 2009 as Government of the Shadows: Parapolitics and Criminal Sovereignty. The second volume in the series, The Dual State: Parapolitics, Carl Schmitt and the National Security State Complex, was published by Ashgate in late 2012. In March 2015 he published his second monograph, “The Spectacle of the False Flag: Parapolitics from JFK to Watergate” which discusses the myriad linkages between covert intelligence and organized crime during the period of the Vietnam War.

J. Michael Springmann was the head of the American visa bureau in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in the Reagan and former Bush administrations, from September 1987 through March 1989. While stationed in Saudi Arabia, Springmann was "ordered by high level State Dept officials to issue visas to unqualified applicants". Springmann states that these applicants were terrorist recruits of Osama Bin Laden, who were being sent to the United States in order to obtain training from the CIA.

Jon Lewis is the University Distinguished Professor of Film Studies and a University Honors College Eminent Professor in the School of Writing, Literature, and Film at Oregon State University where he has taught film and cultural studies since 1983.
