Jesus came to earth for one purpose - the redemption of humanity. This word “redeem” is unique for it spoke of a very particular transaction on the slave market. Just because a slave was purchased didn’t guarantee the transaction would set the slave free. You could purchase a slave to work in your house or pay off a debt. . .

So many people struggle with two questions… “Who am I?” (which addresses ones identity) and “What is my place in this world?” (which speaks to a lasting purpose). Interestingly enough, there is a third so many fail to consider that in actuality answers the previous two… “To whom do I belong?”. . .

The glorious reality as it pertains to the purpose behind the law accentuating your need for a Savior is that once you’ve accept the Savior there is no longer a need for the law. . .

I want to address the question as to how Jesus is able to save you from the bondage of sin brought through the law? In Galatians 3 Paul wrote, “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us". . .

As we’ve noted, the purpose of the law was simple… To accentuate your need for a Savior! It is the law that declares every human a sinner fallen short of the glory of God. . .

When you discuss grace the legalist always defaults to the origins of the law. They argue God gave the law to insure there wouldn't be anarchy. And while I will agree there was a purpose for the law, I’m convinced it was for entirely different reason. . .

You need to know the Gospel of Grace alone and it’s power to radically change your life doesn’t really matter if you aren’t willing to go all in! Grace is amazing for it justifies you before God and frees you to live a life that God will find pleasing because it enables Jesus to live through you. . .

Please hear me on this… “Belief in God” is not the same thing as “believing in God.” Nowhere does Scripture present an intellectual belief in God as the basis for your righteousness, but rather the placing of one’s complete faith and trust in Jesus. . .

In Galatians chapter three Paul makes a fascinating statement about the Word of God. He says, “The Scripture foresaw… preached… and said!” The implications of this are really interesting… In saying, “The Scripture foresaw… preached… and said” it’s clear Paul viewed the Scriptures as the manifestation of a Person… Specifically, the person of God. . .
