Organizations often react to pressure in a similar way. They don’t fall apart because of panic, but because they become rigid. This is called Threat Rigidity — a survival response where leaders take more control, stop experimenting, and discourage disagreement when things are uncertain.
Although this behavior can seem disciplined at first, it often ends up destroying innovation, adaptability, and long-term resilience.
