  • Outside The Algorithm, Ep. IX [ZooDeVille]

Welcome to Outside the Algorithm, where you'll find a universe of independent voices. Today, we'd like to introduce you to ZooDeVille. He is an emcee and videographer from Vacaville based in Los Angeles, California. We linked up a few days after I got to LA via the homie Jon Glass. The studio is extra raw in this one - we were still figuring the camera angles, decorations etc... But the connections and convos have always been the focus here! And ours definitely highlights that fact.

ZooDeVille & I bonded over our love for music and the people we've met making it. As usual, artists will find some gems inside & fans will get a closer look at the man who's often behind the camera. Grateful he took the time to step in front with us!

You may know him from his work with Mac Miller, Future, Michael Christmas, Logic, Apathy, or maybe you've seen him DJing on Monday Night Football with the Main Squeeze... He produces a wide range of music & stays in the mix with fellow creatives. We actually went to a party after this convo and ended up in a music video before the night was over.

We linked up in his hometown of Inglewood, California & got right to it, talking music, fashion, family, & LA history. We actually recorded this in The Forum parking lot, shot a music video outside after, then capped the day off with some Brolly Hut for the full experience.
