NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan had his “Last Dance”. This episode is ours…with long-time winemaker of Jordan Wines, Rob Davis.
Rob holds the rare distinction of serving as winemaker at one winery for more than 40 years, joining Jordan just before the first harvest in 1976. In that time, he created voracious demand for Jordan's wines and still to this day loves being involved in winemaking as much as he did 40 years ago.
In this episode, Rob talks about his start in winemaking and learning from one of the most legendary winemakers ever, André Tchelistcheff.
He is also an avid swimmer, cyclist and runner, and he continues to compete in several triathlons each year.
So, grab yourself a bottle of Jordan (or whatever you might have ready to open) and enjoy the stories with Ted Robinson, Glenn Parker and long-time Jordan winemaker, Rob Davis

Also on the menu, the two get into sports and how athletes have made their mark in the wine business.
NBA World Champion and now founder of Chosen Family Wines Channing Frye joins the show.
Editor's note: Normally, I like to edit each show to have it flow like a true conversation between our hosts and guests. However, the minute I heard Channing’s passion for wine & sports & life, I decided to not edit much.
Within the first 30 seconds of Channing speaking, you’ll see why his passion for everything he does carries this episode.
This episode goes way beyond just wine and sports. Enjoy!
One could argue, what Robert Mondavi meant to cabernet in California, Dan Kosta meant to pinot noirs in the state. He, along with partner Michael Browne started the iconic Kosta Browne Winery in 1997, with nothing more than an empty tip jar and a love of wine. During his time at Kosta Browne he made iconic pinot noirs which earned him numerous awards including Wine of the Year in 2011. After nearly 20 years with Kosta Browne, Dan started on a new solo venture, starting AldenAlli wines. In this episode, Dan shares his passion for pinots and his zest for zinfandel with Ted, Ashley and Glenn. The gang talks everything from wines, music and, of course, sports.
Dave Barr played 14 years in the NHL and coached another 12 as an assistant. Dave has won at almost every level of hockey, including earlier this year, the gold medal as Head Coach of Team Canada’s Under-18 World Junior Team.
Dave joins Ted, Glenn & Ashley this week to discuss everything hockey while enjoying a 2016 Petit Verdot from Heikell Family Wines. A winery that may be a secret to most people…but once you’ve tried his wines, it won’t be a secret for long.
