Today in Episode 4 of our Let's Build an Offensive System series we continue with building our run game by introducing the natural complement to the inside zone which is of course the outside zone. I often call the term outside zone a "misnomer" in that while it creates the illusion of an outside run it is actually a scheme that can be hit at all points of the field. It creates lateral flow that when the defense tries to fit creates natural vertical cuts for the ball carrier.
