  • Outspoken - Scott Mitchell
S1 EP05 - British Intelligence, Jamaican restaurants, Runaway Cage fighters, and the South Sydney Rabbito’s.
This week on Thereabouts: Outspoken we went back to where it all began, on the road to Uluru. We sat down with director and good friend Scott Mitchell to shoot the shit on how he came to be on the film, finding the story as it began to unravel and then working out the best way to extract and tell it. We discuss our key moments and take aways from the experience as well as hear his thoughts on sport, why we love it and why we can't wait until we get it back.

  • Outspoken - Mitch Docker
S1 EP05 - This week's guest is an old friend and a dear friend. Someone I very much looked up to as a junior and someone I was fortunate enough to race alongside in my first season in the professional ranks.
Mitch Docker is in his thirteenth year making a living off of racing his bike, a team captain at EF Education First, Mitch possesses a humility and objective reason seldom found in a professional athlete. And he has amazing hair.
In a refreshingly candid interview Mitch opened up about the possibility of never racing again, the empathy required to be a team captain, the changing shape of the pro peloton, life in the peloton and life after it.

  • Outspoken BONUS Episode - Steve Maxwell
S1 BONUS - After our discussion with Dr Roger I reached out to another friend of mine who I feel has one of the most impressive minds in the sport of cycling to take what Dr Roger said and go a little deeper and more specific into the case of Moscon. That friend is Steve Maxwell, author of The Outer Line and one of cycling most intelligent voices.

  • Outspoken - Mark Eckhardt
S1 EP1 - In these strange times we thought to it would be nice to hear some positive stories and so we decided to start a podcast where we look to do just that, share interesting, inspiring and uplifting stories from people who are thinking about sport differently.
2019 was a year of changing course for thereabouts that culminated in a new approach and mission for everything we do. In our inaugural episode we thought it would be best to start at the place where that new mission was born, at Common. Today's show is a round table we had with Mark Eckhardt CEO of Common and the man who helped us distill the mission and vision of thereabouts. We chat about Mark's past, the process of finding your mission, as well as the role of sport and community in society.
You can reach Mark's organization here: www.COMMON.is
