Prayer is dependence on God, and Jesus teaches us that this is the best place to be.

Most of us would agree that we should be loving toward others. But when we get into the specifics of who that includes, we realize that, like the good Samaritan, this often means loving the people who are not simply difficult, but the most difficult. How do you love the people who you love to hate?

We rejoice in the things we see God doing around us. But do we recognize that the greatest work He has accomplished in our life is the saving work of His salvation? Do we rejoice in this?

Is your heart captivated by a kingdom built by man? Or is your faith in Jesus and the kingdom He is establishing? What does it mean to have our identity rooted in Him as the greatest?

Everything God does, from His blessing to His rebuke, is done out of His love for us.

Are you hungry for the presence of God? When Jesus was transfigured on the mountain in the presence of His disciples, it affected them in 3 ways. How does being in the presence of God affect us?

Whose kingdom are you living for? Jesus calls us to deny ourselves, but what does this look like? What does it mean to take up our cross and follow Him? Living for the kingdom of Jesus requires a full transformation of our mind, our wills, and our emotions.

Have you met Jesus in your desolation Or are you expecting Him to bring you out of it?

Regardless of who you are or what you've done, Jesus stands ready to welcome you.

A desperate woman had tried everything she could think of to find healing. But only Jesus had the power, authority - and most importantly, the desire - to give her what she needed. That woman is all of us. Where has your searching led you? You will never be complete until it leads you to Him.
