Do we have a right fear of God? What does it mean to view and accept God this way?

We become what we love. If we pursue and delight ourselves in the light of God's presence and power, then that is what we will be filled with.

When we invite Jesus to overcome the power of sin in our lives, He is faithful and will do it. But if we simply stop with the eradication of sin, those places in our life will inevitably become filled in with something else. Filling our life with the pursuit of Jesus is the only way to prevent sin and pride from overtaking us.

Prayer is dependence on God, and Jesus teaches us that this is the best place to be.
