Luke describes the significance of Christ's arrival from multiple perspectives. Through each perspective, we see testimonies to Jesus' sovereign identity, plan of salvation, and call to repentance and faith.

Jesus brings peace to those who cannot buy it, earn it, or deserve it.

Zechariah’s act of faith and subsequent song of praise illustrates the power of God at work in the way each of us is moved from unbelief to worship. Luke’s emphasis on the supernatural shows us how God is in the details of every aspect of our salvation.

We often look at Mary, the mother of Jesus, as an almost divine figure. But, what we find out is that she expresses the faith necessary for every person who trusts in Christ.
