Yes I know we’ve used that episode name a few times but it’s not our fault that this season hasn’t been interesting enough to deserve a brand new name for the penultimate episode.

We’re getting down to the nitty-gritty and the paths are narrowing for some players. Everyone is still in the game at this point, largely because no one has made any significant moves. We talk about that, as you may have put together by now.

Survivor giveth and Survivor taketh away. And it usually taketh away EXACTLY ONE WEEK after giving………..

We are finally finished lamenting the hubris of these players but are forced to reckon with the possibility that………. What if they’re…… bad? Who might be good, but is constantly being screwed by bad play from others? Which of the hosts is unreasonably optimistic–and I guarantee you it isn’t who you thought it would be.

I assure you I will stop naming these episodes by their hubris rating just as soon as players stop claiming that they are in sole control of the game only to flame out in a blaze of glory. Something went weird with the audio on this one, sorry, but otherwise it’s a banger of an episode as we try a new format. If you thought the hubris in the previous episode as bad, just wait until you meet Ryan.
