Ron and Marty begin a weekly solo podcast with thoughts to consider based on evaluated life experiences. Ron and Marty have experienced thoughts resulting from statements made to and/or about them that have, through trigger statements, evoked thoughts of the past. The words may have been meant well; however, our personality or disposition at the moment of those statements caused us to process those statements negatively. Those negative thoughts can dominate our conscious thinking unless we are aware of that possibility.

Charles Smith experienced and overcame several life setbacks but is now dedicating his life to passing forward how to become resilient and advance beyond those setbacks. His father owned multiple Nursing Homes in the Worcester, MA, area, which would become his legacy. His family lost everything for reasons he never determined when he was three years old. His mother died when he was five years old, and his father died when he was 11, leaving him as an orphan. His father's death caused a shock resulting in deep-seated hatred and resentment, causing him to hate the world. He went through most of his young adult life addicted to cocaine, alcohol, and marijuana. After a brief time with the military, his uncle, who raised him and his grandfather, died a month apart from each other. This resulted in Charles taking up the habit of cutting his skin to relieve his pain. He found martial arts and exercise to be helpful coping skills. He learned through his life experience that telling his story was also very therapeutic.

David, Lin's husband, was her human catalyst to increase her reliance on God to overcome her past feelings. For some, her life choices could have led some to give up on their marriage. Instead, she and David chose to work through and allow God to transform each of them and lead them on a journey of reconciliation. They now have a stronger marriage and reliance on God as they have each surrendered their lives anew to God. It is a great testimony of hope when many others have chosen to terminate their marriage.
