Corey Green describes in this episode what he did to meet his family’s financial needs through a rideshare program. His wife, Michelle, was hospitalized for a Very Severe Aplastic Anemia medical condition which will be featured on Episode #6. This condition put him in a financial situation that he needed additional income. While the need for doing what he did was serious, Corey found a way to make the best of the problem. Corey decided to engage in ride-sharing to bring in additional revenue. Some of the stories of his ride-sharing escapades are light-hearted. The central message is Corey does whatever he has to do to keep his family financially afloat. While doing this, he shares some funny stories.

Boyd Hamlin endured and is overcoming two major brain surgeries to remove cavernous malformations, between which he was diagnosed with transverse myelitis. He chronicles each surgery while explaining the effects of each. The transverse myelitis was the source of a lot of pain, while the second brain surgery had more long-lasting effects than the first surgery. Through this experience, he felt he needed encouragement. What seemed to be counterintuitive he learned to give to receive rather than ask.

Corey Green employs karate to help people with special needs. While Corey is not a board-certified clinician, he learned through life experiences how to identify those with special needs and employ karate to help special needs people cope with their anomaly. Corey Green describes the process by which he devoted 14 years to determine his life purpose. Many people do not know how to determine their life purpose. We can learn from Corey and the process he employed to overcome his childhood and assess his life purpose in helping others through karate. While determining his life purpose, he developed the slogan: Believe in Yourself – I Already Do. There are two parts to this belief: Corey believes in himself, and he knows you can overcome any life challenges.
