God wanted to expand the life of Abraham by inviting him into a covenant or contract agreement. This covenant would follow his family for generations. His life teaches us that the covenants we agree to determine how far we can expand and the quality of life our families will miss or enjoy for years.

The need to know our speed applies to many areas of life. We humans always want to know how far, how fast, how big, and how much; especially compared to the other guy. But there is one dimension of speed that is even more important than your miles per hour. It is the speed of your life. There are two times in which going too fast can be dangerous: •When there is an urgent challenge •When there is a desperate need

Just like Going Too Slow has its positives and negatives, Going Too Fast also has its positives and negatives.

Moses’ pride and mainly his temper were blind spots he could not manage well. This was the piece that kept showing up in the wrong place in his life. He changed enough to get almost to the promise land but not enough to finish well.
