Overcoming Faith

Luke 10:19 (AMP) Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on [a]serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you.

If we do not deal with our hurt, it will turn to anger. Anger then turns inward and becomes depression. The enemy seeks to control you with negative emotions. But, love will give you authority over hurt. The agape’ love of God must be our foundation. Do not let hurt control you, deal with it. Let the Holy Spirit take care of it. We must walk and develop the God kind of love. You have the authority through Christ!

Romans 7:6 (AMP) But now we are discharged from the Law and have terminated all intercourse with it, having died to what once restrained and held us captive. So now we serve not under [obedience to] the old code of written regulations, but [under obedience to the promptings] of the Spirit in newness [of life].

Walking in the Spirit is the power to live by God's Word, and not the dictates of your carnal mind!

We have to overcome the fear of lack in our lives. Not enough is an enemy! We must identify the fear of lack as an enemy and God will wipe it out! Deuteronomy 28:7(AMP) “The LORD will cause the enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you; they will come out against you one way, but flee before you seven ways.”

There is a way to live where fear does not control you. We must believe in the love God has for us. Draw close to God and fear will not be able to operate. Stay in the presence of God! He will protect and turn every evil to good! God tells us not to fear because He is with us!

Isaiah 54:14-17(AMP) “You will be firmly established in righteousness: You will be far from [even the thought of] oppression, for you will not fear, And from terror, for it will not come near you. “If anyone fiercely attacks you it will not be from Me. Whoever attacks you will fall because of you. “Listen carefully, I have created the smith who blows on the fire of coals And who produces a weapon for its purpose; And I have created the destroyer to inflict ruin. “No weapon that is formed against you will succeed; And every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn. This [peace, righteousness, security, and triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And this is their vindication from Me,” says the Lord.

The greatest cause of sickness is fear, anxiety and stress disorders. There is a spiritual root to all disease, but the road to wellness is found in perfect love. There is a spirit of death and a spirit of life. So, live a life full of the the spirit! We must work to tune our ears away from the sound of death and toward the sound of life! (1 John 4:18) There is no fear in love [dread does not exist]. But perfect (complete, full-grown) love drives out fear, because fear involves [the expectation of divine] punishment, so the one who is afraid [of God’s judgment] is not perfected in love [has not grown into a sufficient understanding of God’s love].

Fear has many faces, so we must choose to not worry, but hold fast in the Word of God! "I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse; therefore, you shall choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, by loving the Lord your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding closely to Him; for He is your life [your good life, your abundant life, your fulfillment] and the length of your days, that you may live in the land which the Lord promised (swore) to give to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” (Deuteronomy 30:19-20) We live by choices. So choose the Will of God! Choose to speak the Word of God over every doubt, over every fear. His word says choose life!

Worry for nothing, but only trust in the Lord!

Fret not about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.(2 Timothy 1:7) God has given you a calm and well balanced mind! We lay hold to this by faith. So stir up the gift inside of you! Stir up the call of God on your life!
