In this empowering video, I sit down with runners who have recently completed the London Marathon or the Boston Marathon but feel like they fell short of their goals. Whether they missed their target time or didn't finish the race at all, these experiences of perceived failure are all too common in the world of distance running.
Join me as I delve into the emotional aftermath of marathon disappointment and offer practical advice on how to overcome these feelings and regain perspective. Drawing from my own personal journey, I share insights on how to navigate the highs and lows of distance running and emerge stronger on the other side.
In 2016, I faced my own setback during the London Marathon, experiencing a disastrous second half and failing to achieve my goal time. The doubts and uncertainties that followed made me question the worth of all the training and sacrifice. However, by returning in 2017 with a renewed mindset and determination, I was able to not only improve but also achieve the time I had been striving for.
Through my own experience and those of others, I demonstrate that failure is an integral part of the journey to success. It's not about how many times you fall, but how you rise each time and learn from your setbacks.
If you're feeling disheartened after a disappointing marathon experience, this video is for you. Watch now to gain valuable insights and inspiration to turn failure into fuel for future success.
