In Total Recall (1990), Arnold Schwarzenegger pays for a fun fake vacation and accidentally upgrades to an identity crisis with free brain surgery. Mars turns out to be a red dirt hellscape where everyone’s either a secret agent, a corporate thug, or rocking a bonus mutant limb. Reality bends so hard it snaps, but Arnold solves every existential question the same way: by shooting it. By the end, you’re still not sure what’s real—except that Quaid’s vacation package had a very generous violence clause.
