I used to think being strong meant always pouring.
Always being available.
Always being supportive.
Always showing up with a smile.
But somewhere along the way, I realized…
I was pouring from a cup that was almost empty.
And I wasn’t cheerful.
I was tired.
I was stretched.
I was quietly resentful.
And that’s not the kind of giving God calls us to.
God loves a cheerful giver—not an exhausted one.
You cannot reflect the love of Christ if you are spiritually and emotionally depleted.
