  • We Believe: True Godly Worship | Brian Ming

What does it mean to truly worship God? In this message from our We Believe series, Brian Ming unpacks what true godly worship looks like—not on our terms, but on God’s.

Worship isn’t about preference or performance; it’s about posture. God is seeking worshipers who will worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23–24). True worship starts with understanding who God is—God is love (1 John 4:8)—and responds with a life of surrender, expression, and sacrifice.

From Abel’s offering to David’s costly worship, we’re reminded that real worship costs something. It’s more than a song; it’s obedience, humility, and a heart fully given to God.

Join us as we rediscover the power of genuine worship—the kind that moves beyond the stage and fills the room, that lifts hands, raises voices, and gives glory back to the One who deserves it all.

    📖 Key Scriptures:
    1 John 4:8, John 4:23–24, Genesis 4:2–7, 1 Samuel 16:7, Psalm 100:1–5, Psalm 150:6, 2 Samuel 24:21–25

    🎵 Main Themes:

    Worshiping God on His terms

    The heart over preference

Giving the song back to the congregation

    Bodily expressions of worship

    Costly, wholehearted devotion

  • Safe: In The Storm | Mark 4

Life brings storms—unexpected, furious, overwhelming. But in Mark 4:35–41, we see Jesus calm the wind and the waves with a word. He was present in the boat, even when He seemed silent. And just like then, He is present in our storms today.

In this message, Safe in the Storm, we learn three powerful truths:
1️⃣ We are Safe because He is Present – His silence is not absence.
2️⃣ We are Safe because He Shows Us Faith – Jesus models how to stand firm.
3️⃣ We are Safe because He reveals His Nature – storms bow to the Creator.

    👉 Key Scriptures:
Proverbs 18:10 (NIV) “The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.”
Mark 4:39–41 (NIV) “Quiet! Be still!” … “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”
Hebrews 11:6 (NIV), 1 John 5:4–5 (NLT), Ephesians 6:16 (NIV)
Isaiah 43:2–3 (NLT) “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you…”

🙌 Because Jesus loves us, He expects faith from us. And when we put our trust in Him, we find safety no storm can shake.

  • Safe: Hungry Lions | Daniel 6

Daniel 6, we see more than a story about a lions’ den—it’s a picture of faithfulness in the face of opposition. Daniel was trustworthy, neither corrupt nor negligent, and his consistent devotion to God set him apart. Even when jealous leaders conspired against him, and even when prayer was outlawed, Daniel stayed faithful.

In this message, Pastor Josh unpacks how Daniel’s integrity, excellence, and faithfulness positioned him for God’s protection—not just in the den, but in his daily life. We’ll explore what it means to live with an excellent spirit, to resist corruption, and to remain steadfast when the “lions” of life roar against us.

Just as God shut the mouths of the lions for Daniel, He is still our refuge today. And just as Daniel points us to Jesus—who also faced a sealed pit but rose victorious—we are reminded that our God is faithful, and death itself has been defeated.

    📖 Key Scriptures: Daniel 6, Proverbs 10:9, 1 Peter 5:8–10, Colossians 3:23–24, James 4:7, John 12:24

🔥 Themes: Faithfulness, Integrity, Prayer, Excellence, Overcoming Opposition, Jesus’ Victory

  • Safe: A World Gone Mad | Genesis 6

When most people think of Noah’s Ark, they imagine animals two by two, rainbows, and a children’s story. But the reality is far darker, more mysterious, and profoundly supernatural.

In this message, Pastor Josh unpacks:

    • 🌱 The Promise in the Garden (Genesis 3:15) – God’s plan for redemption.
    • 🌍 The Problem Revealed (Genesis 6) – a world gone mad, filled with corruption, violence, and Nephilim.
    • 🌈 The Promise Renewed (Genesis 9) – God’s covenant of mercy, pointing to Christ.

The Ark wasn’t just a big boat—it was a picture of Jesus. A safe place in the storm. A shadow of the cross. And just like Noah, you can be preserved in a world that’s lost its way.

    📖 Key Texts: Genesis 3, 6, 9 | Matthew 16:18 | Ephesians 2:4–7 | John 10:9

If you’ve ever wondered what Noah’s story really means—or how it points to Jesus—this message will open your eyes.

  • Safe: Provision | I Kings 19

Sometimes the wilderness feels like the most unsafe place of all—fear, loneliness, exhaustion, and despair pressing in from every side. That’s exactly where Elijah found himself in 1 Kings 19. He ran from Jezebel, sat down under a broom tree, and cried out, “I’ve had enough, Lord. I’m no better than my ancestors.”
But God met Elijah right there—in the wilderness. Not with condemnation, but with presence, provision, and purpose. He sent His angel to touch Elijah, gave him bread and water for the journey, and spoke not in the fire or earthquake, but in a gentle whisper.
In this message, Pastor Josh shows how God keeps us SAFE in the Wilderness. Just as He provided manna for Israel, strength for Elijah, and the Bread of Life through Jesus, He provides what we truly need: Himself.

  • Safe: Through The Fire | Daniel 3

Have you ever felt pressure to compromise your faith—to bow to something other than God? Babylon represents the culture of compromise, calling us to trade faithfulness for comfort. In Daniel 3, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refuse to bow to Nebuchadnezzar’s golden image, even when threatened with the fiery furnace. Their story reminds us of this truth: Faithfulness means resistance. Resolve leads to resilience. And our refuge is not found in avoiding the fire, but in walking with Jesus through it.

💡 In this message from the SAFE Series, Pastor Josh shares on :
Resistance — Faithfulness to God means resisting pressure, refusing idols, and standing firm in a culture of compromise.
Resolve — A holy determination to obey God, even when it costs us. “Even if He does not… we will not bow.” (Daniel 3:18)
Resilience — The fire didn’t consume them; it freed them. What bound them was burned off, and the Son of God stood with them in the flames.

    📖 Key Scriptures:
    Daniel 3
Isaiah 43:2–3 — “When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up…”
    2 Chronicles 16:9, 1 John 5:21, 1 Peter 2:11–12

🔥 Big Truth: Jesus doesn’t always deliver us from the fire, but He will always walk with us through the fire.

Part of the SAFE Series — a journey through Scripture where we discover God as our refuge: our strong tower, our safe place, and our Savior in the storm, the flood, and the fire.

  • Safe: Obey | Jonah 1-4

📖 “The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” – Proverbs 18:10(NIV)

Jonah ran from God, but he couldn’t outrun His mercy. When a storm raged and the sea threatened to destroy him, God didn’t let Jonah drown—He preserved him in the belly of a great fish. What looked like punishment was actually protection, and what felt like a prison became Jonah’s place of prayer, hearing, and obedience.

In this message, Pastor Josh shares from Jonah’s journey and shows us that:

    • God’s storms are often His mercy, designed to bring us back.
    • Our purpose is not found in our gift but in our obedience.
    • Grace often shows up in the place of our greatest discomfort.
    • Just as Jonah was preserved three days in the fish, Jesus was preserved three days in the grave—so we might be safe forever in Him.

    🔥 Key Themes:
    A. Jonah Prays (Jonah 2:1)
    B. Jonah Hears (Jonah 3:1)
    C. Jonah Obeys (Jonah 3:4–5, 10)

Even when Jonah disobeyed out of anger and hatred, God was patient, merciful, and compassionate—not only to Nineveh, but also to Jonah himself. His story reminds us: it’s never too late to run back to God.

    👉 Scriptures: Proverbs 18:10; Jonah 1–4; 1 John 5:3; Matthew 12:39; Romans 5:19

  • Safe: Our Refuge | Psalms 91

Safe isn’t a place—it’s a Person. In Psalm 91, Pastor Josh shows how real safety is found in knowing the Almighty, not just knowing His name.

From ancient towers of refuge to the cities of refuge, God has always provided a place where His people could run and be safe. Psalm 91 declares that those who dwell in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty—but this promise isn’t just about knowing the name of God, it’s about knowing God Himself.

In this message, Pastor Josh unpacks the power of living in the presence of El Shaddai, our refuge and fortress. Just as God preserved Israel in the wilderness with a pillar of cloud by day, fire by night, manna from heaven, and water from the rock, He still covers and protects His people today.

Discover how the name of Jesus still drives out darkness, and how the ultimate fulfillment of the cities of refuge is found in Christ—the One we run to when we need safety, forgiveness, and life.

    📖 Scripture: Psalm 91, Proverbs 18:10
💬 Main Idea: Safe isn’t a place—it’s a Person. The safest place you can be is in the presence of God.
