Jason and Jared catch up after a busy week for the USMNT. The US have advanced to the quarterfinals in the CONCACAF Gold Cup after another unconvincing win, this time against a rising Canada team. Is Gregg Berhalter doing enough to put this team in a position to win? Does this tournament even matter to US Soccer? Injuries are unfortunately front and center for the squad and the guys debate their replacements on the current squad and who could be called up. Plus, who’s stock has risen or fallen from the Gold Cup - James Sands has emerged as a reliable player in the back for Berhalter and the US in the group stage. Finally, Atlanta United have sacked Gabriel Heinze after reports of him withholding water from the team, players picking up eating disorders and Josef Martinez refusing to train with the manager.
