The one thing that has been consuming me for a while is figuring out how to take care of myself in a way that actually has an effect. We all develop bad habits when it comes to self care and in my experience I've found that dropping the bad habits and swapping them for better ones hasn't necessarily helped. This episode is for the people that are doing everything right, in terms of self care, but feel like nothing is changing.
Overtime I've assessed why I keep ending up in situationships/relationships that I don't deserve, or why it's so hard to find someone you like that is actually good for you. There is so much that goes wrong in relationships and it's easy to blame the world because "we can't control peoples actions"... but if we're actually being honest with ourselves, the common denominator in these situations are ourselves. So what are we doing that is attracting less that situations into our lives?
I've spent most of my life living for other's. 2024 really showed me what bottling myself up for the greater good of others can do to a person, and I can tell you it wasn't cute.
It is so easy to get caught up in our past and our future that we miss all the opportunities of the present. We need to stop being hostage to things out of our control because most of the time we don't even realize how much it take from us even when we think its keeping us safe.
I will never claim to be "oh so knowledgeable" BUT one thing I know for a fact is what works for me. Hearing certain things that were harsh allowed me to have honest conversations with myself about what I want for my life and what I'm willing to do to get there. Everything mentioned in this video are things that I learned from the people that I look up to and I think it's important to share the things that I believe can be life changing.
WARNING: Brutal honesty!
there’re so many myths about how “your person” or “the one” comes around and I just think we need to stop living in fantasy land and assuming they’ll randomly knock on your door one day.
If you are the type of person who has more than one interest or feels the need to cut certain hobbies out because you can’t balance it all, know that the people who actually manage to have a million things going on and are amazing at everything aren’t better than you, they just understand that you can’t always give everything your 100% all the time.
