The Girls Upper Midwest High School Elite League begins tonight from the National Sports Center in Blaine. Co-founders Winny Brodt-Brown and Chris Peterson discussed the beginning stages of the league they created with co-founder Eric Johnson. Along with the help of the legendary late John Russo, the trio created a league that provides a great hockey experience for Minnesota girls high school hockey players.
