There will come a time you see God doing for other people what you wish He would do for you. Blessed are you if you’re not offended by that.  Blessed are you when you trust there is a bigger story being written.

In his life, Jesus offers us an example for handling our sufferings well; but it was by his death and resurrection he achieved victory over suffering for all time.

God may not always give us a reason for our sufferings, but He always offers us a relationship as we go through them.

Whatever the precise reason our sufferings may be, it cannot be because God doesn’t love us. In Christ, God is as involved in the problem of evil as He can possibly be.

Without discipline, you are not a disciple. But if Jesus did not abandon you in the midst of his own suffering, you can trust he will not abandon you in the midst of yours.

As you head into a new year, whatever goals and dreams you may have, remember you are ultimately serving Christ.

Christmas is an ideal time to extend hope.

Although we are prone to fail, fall, and forget, if we will only look to the place where God’s presence fully dwells, we will find full and complete healing.

What we need more than anything this Christmas is the grace and truth Jesus offers.

Meaning is found not in shallow optimism, nor bitter cynicism, but in the simple wisdom that comes from the good hand of God.
