For the 3rd year in a row, we talk with Menace about his artistic evolution. Menace is a prolific and compelling rap artist. When we first met him in 2019 he already had over 100 songs on YouTube. He performed for the first time on the Own It stage in 2020. 
Since then he has become an Own It regular. He always says yes when we invite him to the stage. His love of music has been a beacon through dark nights of the soul. 

"It's not the expression of the emotion, it's the lack of control that I don't want," Phil.
"Well, if you could control it, then you'd probably keep it under lock all the time, cuz you've got things to do, and they're inconvenient" Sarah.
A conversation between two people with possibly the most inconvenient relationship...ah the irony.
Also, have you noticed, the most passionate male outbursts often occur during the big game?  Uncontrollably! Spontaneously!

Sarah gets mad at Phil for a few things i.e. saying their relationship is non-linear, and preventing her from "dating."  They discuss living in different worlds, and the challenge of expressing different layers of  Sarah and Phil which could be called the "track stack" if you're a recording engineer.  So, how to live a domestic life, and express the other tracks.  The answer seems to be, make the leap and keep going cuz the grass isn't greener on the other side.
"There's still some mystery, even for us, about what we are," Sarah. 

Exploration of the parallel plot between Sarah n Phil and author Kahlil Gibran with his beloved Mary Haskell.   Maybe yin and yang truly are the most creative combo because many duos share a similar (often unwritten) story.  Why love someone and choose not to "be" with them?  This episode is sprinkled with excerpts from the book "Beloved Prophet" which is the correspondence and journal entries of Mary and Kahlil.  Until recently, it was unknown that she played an intimate role in the editing, writing and inspiration for his book "The Prophet."  Sarah reads the chapter "On Love" at the end of the episode from "The Prophet."

Reflections from their trip to Lake Powell where Phil n Sarah hosted an Own It show.  Their stage was the deck of a houseboat, their lights were tiki torches.  They were joined on stage by the person whom Sarah is currently dating.  She asks Phil, "What was that like for you?"  The answer is surprising, even to them.

We recorded in the west desert, and inside Harvey the bus, Menace reflects on the last year. He talks about the sense of urgency he feels as an artist, to share his music. Only a few hours later, Menace took the stage to open the Own It show themed "Nostalgia No More." Follow him as he continues to bust through old identities using music as the tool.

As scientific as this title sounds, the episode is anything but precise.  Think of it as a treasure hunt.  There are gems, but we gotta dig.  Recorded 2 days after the wedding of Sarah's oldest daughter, new thoughts on monogamy arise.  How do you respond to your mistakes? as an artist? as a partner? When is the final decision made about success or failure? When is an art piece or a relationship really done?  Sarah and Phil decide it's not so bad, being one another's experiment.

This is an episode of full disclosure. In the true spirit of Own It, Sarah n Phil reflect on their sexual relationship.  Towards the end, they are met with tragic truths and they stay in the conversation together. As sex can often be, this is an episode about trust. Trust in each other and trust in the listener. 
"Are you nervous about the release of it?" Phil asks Sarah. To which she responds, "No, it couldn't be any worse than what people say about me anyway." 
Does it all just come down to whether or not you're sleeping together, or is a relationship decided in more subtle ways?

Introducing the series Polyamory; Bushwhacking to Nowhere.   After 4 years in a polyamorous relationship (with each other) Sarah and Phil look back on what they learned.  Did polyamory work?   How do you get out once you're in it?  What does it mean for a relationship to work  versus not work?  Where do we intend to get to anyway? Where the hell are we now?  Was it worth it?

Are the Bonneville cutthroat trout on the endangered species list? Are they the state fish?   Don't know?  We didn't either, but we learned!  Harvey the bus was invited to the first annual Bonnie Ball to record poetry and insights on Utah wildlife.  Featuring Terry Tempest Williams as facilitator, local kids wrote about the Bonneville cutthroat trout.  This episode features the youth who participated, and reflection on the Bonnie Ball by Chris Peterson, and Brett from the Utah Wildlife Federation.  They also discuss plans for future community engagement centered around wildlife murals throughout the state.  These guys are really owning their love for nature and art!
