To have it all we must be willing to let God to have it all (Mark 10:17-31; Mark 6:21)

Our words will produce what is rotted in our hearts...and they will leave a legacy. "From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks" (Matthew 12:34).

To be counter culture (not of this world) we must "re-orient ourselves to God's truth".

The "world," apart FROM GOD, will never offer you a part OF GOD. 1 John 2:15-17.

How to trust God in the midst of godlessness?

Hurt hardens our hearts toward God. The pain of being hurt by people in our past can cause us to hold God hostage. We often think, "Where was God then?" He didn't approve of the injury, but he desires to heal the wound from the injury.

One key to following Jesus is getting understanding. Things become much clearer when the "light comes on" and we gain clarity. *Understanding will inspire and sustain authentic discipleship.

The cost of following Jesus will challenge your allegiance...to prioritize the call of God on your life over family, business, career, personal interests, etc. We must count the cost!

Salvation is free, but discipleship costs...it's expensive. When Jesus invites you to a relationship with him, it should interrupt your life. Our walk with Christ is not convenient. Based on Luke 9:57-62.
