One of the most common reasons entrepreneurs tend to fail is due to a lack of determination and persistence.

Meet Michael Fukunaga: Founder and CEO of FUTAKU - specializes in licensing pre-existing intellectual properties to be reimagined into Japanese-inspired animation - best known for launching new Japanese anime in US markets and is considered a pioneer in fusing Japanese entertainment with American pop culture.

Meet Manny Fresco: Director, cinematographer, and editor who studied TV Production and has worked with numerous small businesses, athletes, and celebrities. He found his success working with video clients in real estate, weddings, corporate/brand commercials, documentaries, and music videos. And has now renewed his entrepreneurial spirit as an NFT educator and crypto art aficionado.

Rob & Charlie discuss with their guess the different real-life paths to business success and how entrepreneurship is something like a journey, where no one will hold your hand through the trials and tribulations, but taking that first step will allow you to ultimately find your path.

It has been proven that small business owners who adopt a growth mindset can position themselves to thrive at all levels. But what exactly defines a growth mindset? And on the opposite side, what is a fixed mindset, and why are so many of us stuck in this mode?

In this episode, we'll discuss the difference between Fixed vs. Growth Mindset and how that applies to Small Business Owners and Entrepreneurs. Think of it like this - strong leadership, continual learning, and innovation are key to thriving any business today and it will be the same tomorrow. It's something that must be fostered throughout an organization in order for that company or brand to really progress. That is the essence of a growth mindset, but unlike a growth mindset, a fixed mindset does not encourage any of these ideals. Nor does it allow team members to develop or new leaders to emerge. It's a less risk-taking, less freedom, less collaborative, and less acceptance of failure approach, which having these behavioral symptoms of a "fixed mindset" will really be detrimental to your business.

The power of mindset. Shifting your mindset from fixed to growth can be a difficult road, but in the long run, this ownership mindset shift will lead to more success. Your mindset stems from your own set of powerful beliefs. And the beauty about this is that these beliefs can be changed when they no longer enable us to achieve our goals. Adopting an ownership mindset, meaning "think like an owner" or "think like an entrepreneur", it's something that is done by committing to growth, developing a practical plan, and structuring your resources accordingly. There is no one better to manage your money, your decisions, your destiny, better than you.

In this episode, the very first episode of the show, Rob & Charlie talk about who they are, their backgrounds, how they got here, and discuss what ownership means to them individually. Yet, they also talk about how traditionally what mindset has meant to them due to our upbrings, and how they seek to redefine how mindset influences them today in the way we think, feel, and behave in any given situation.
