Arkansas PBS has debuted a new, digital-first series called Exploring Arkansas: Trails Less Traveled . The 14-part series showcases trails and waterways hikers can explore safely while practicing social distancing.

During Tuesday's coronavirus response briefing, Governor Asa Hutchinson discussed the spike in community transmitted cases in St. Francis County, which is also home to a federal corrections facility in Forrest City. INVERSE and The Momentary have created a social media challenge to engage people at home. Every Monday during the five-week challenge , a new prompt by a different artist is shared on the Momentary’s Instagram. Participants can then respond with their own 30-second video.

The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and the Momentary are launching their Social Connecting Campaign this week. The art institutions worked with nine local artists to create a series of line drawings for postcards that will be sent to vulnerable individuals who are isolated during the pandemic. The artists also turned the drawings into murals that will be displayed outside hospitals and senior living facilites.

The Arkansas Philharmonic's "Evening with the Maestro" will go on Friday night. The food and wine will be delivered to patrons' doors and the music will be sent digitially.

Apple Seeds , a nonprofit based in Fayetteville, connects young people to food and nutrititon. Tomorrow morning, they'll deliver their "Cooking in the Schools" program to Arkansas school children on Arkansas PBS.

With Arkansas school buildings closed because of the coronavirus outbreak, state education officials and Arkansas PBS are partnering to bring lessons to students' homes. The Alternative Methods of Instruction program, which provides packets of material for students to work on at home, was originally intended to be a short-term solution for situations like snow days.
