A new sheriff will take over in Carroll County in 2019. On Jan. 1, newly elected sheriff Jim Ross will take over the department, which was recently roiled by controversy.

Scholars at Risk is an international organization that protects scholars who are threatened with job loss, imprisonment or even death because of their work. The University of Arkansas chapter this week hosted Dr. Muhammad Kahn, a professor of applied linguistics who now teaches in Philadelphia after he received death threats in his native Pakistan for work in the classroom some considered critical of religion. He speaks with us about his experience

Dawson Hollow is a band from the Lebannon, Mo. area, and although they use traditional instruments, their sound is anything but.
