TheatreSquared's production of The Humans continues at Nadine Baum Studios through Sunday night. Last night, the playwright, Stephen Karam, spoke about his work and more during a public conversation at the Fayetteville Public Library. Yoga teachers affiliated with the Arkansas Yoga and Therapy Center this spring will deliver free yoga instruction on the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks campus in Fayetteville. The yoga center seeks 40 military veterans willing to learn yoga basics over a two month period, under the VA's Complimentary and Integrative Health Program. While sensory rooms have been used in special education for some time, Northside Elementary School in Siloam Springs recently put one together that can be used by all of its students. The room includes a bubble wall, peapod bed, pressure roller, push wall, hammock swing, and trampolines. Educators say the goal of the sensory room is to create a space where young children can go to get away from overwhelming stimuli and process their feelings before they have a breakdown.

Pack Rat Outdoor Center is once again hosting the Brewha Bushwhack at Byrd’s Adventure Center in Ozark April 7. In this adventure race, teams compete for points, not time. A coinciding event called the Boondoggle, will feature a variety of outdoor companies presenting their products to the public. The event will also feature drinks from local breweries and live music.

The City of Siloam Springs is a top-five finalist in the running to be featured on Hulu's "Small Business Revolution." The premise of the show is to help the small businesses in a growing city become even more successful by bringing in experts and infusing $500,000 into the downtown. An Aphasia Support Group has formed to help individuals who have partially or completely lost their ability to communicate because of stroke or a traumatic brain injury. Aletha Cook is clinical director of the University of Arkansas Speech and Hearing Clinic. She says the group was established based on community demand. The support group, which will meet monthly, is open to people diagnosed with aphasia, their caregivers and family.
