The latest spat revolves around a potential meeting of the movie versions Shazam and Black Adam, which I'm honestly not sure would have worked for those iterations of these characters.

Today on the 5: Over the weekend I watched a movie from 1980 titled Hell Of The Living Dead. I can't really recommend it to most people because it spends far too much time being either dull or gross. I almost wouldn't even mention it, but it does have one story element that is absolutely worth talking about.

Today on the 5: A Financial Times story about tension between Apple CEO Tim Cook and Apple designers has been making the rounds in the last few weeks. Whether it came from legitimate concerns or disgruntled whining, I see it as a #positive one for Apple as a company.

Today on the 5: Reading a bit about the furor over an artifically enhanced image of the moon on a Samsung phone, the anger over the image manipulation feels related to machine generated art. I wonder if a lot of what people are upset over isn't the tools themsleves, but the way they are presented to us.

Today on the 5: Games that I love and have played often are usually the ones that have little left to surprise me with. That track record of familiarity made the revelation in a Deus Ex: Mankind Divided retrospective that Adam Jensen is likely a clone in that game all the more delightful.

Today on the 5: My other film review this week is 1989's Phantom Of The Mall: Eric's Revenge. It's a somewhat novel attempt to a modified slasher film, and while the story gets a bit clunky in places I generally enjoyed it.

Today on the 5: Without really planning on it, this week I watched a pair of low budget "horror" movies from 1989. First up is Alien From The Deep, an Italian film with an unremarkable plot but a well done creature reveal.
