Today on the 5: As I was ripping a CD I recently bought, it made me think about where I am in the digital conversion process. I still have quite a bit of physical media, so I was curious how far our listeners have gone in converting everything to bits.

Today on the 5: I recently attempted to watch the newest entry in the Mission Impossible series, Ghost Protocol. I know it's never exactly been a movie franchise based on realism, but this film went about a hundred steps too far into cartoon land for my taste.

Today on the 5: I've been playing through the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, and I was going to skip the PSP entry called Peace Walker until I read about how closely it ties into MGS3. Playing through it was definitely the right call.

Today on the 5: I was recently recommended a book called The Guards by Ken Bruen. I wasn't sure what to expect from, it, but I was pleasantly surprised by how masterfully the main character was defined.

Today on the 5: I recently discovered an anime series called Ergo Proxy. Now that I'm a good ways in, I wanted to give my impressions of a series that I'm not even sure how I found.

Today on the 5: There is a certain type of mindset that a good portion of Americans have that I just can't wrap my head around. How is it that some people can be devoutly religious but so distrustful of government?
