Today on the 5: It appears that the Assassin's Creed series is removing the more science fictional narrative elements from the games. While it's true that the series had some issues with keeping that story going, it was still one of the more unique aspects of the games.

Today on the 5: My wife and I are watching the original 9 season run of The X-Files. I've been a fan since it was originally on television, but I have to admit watching the series today is a bit of a strange experience.

Today on the 5: One of the aspects of the iPhone 14 that Apple has made a big deal out of is the Dynamic Island. A good chunk of people seem to think this is a big improvement on the notch, but I just don't see it that way.

Today on the 5: As expected, there has been a ton of coverage about Apple's "Far Out" event. I've noticed a number of posts about the Watch portion of the event video indicating it was "fear mongering" by Apple. I think maybe people have forgotten how marketing works.

Today on the 5: My second horror film for this week is An Angel For Satan, considered the final Italian gothic horror starring the fantastic Barbara Steele. It's a magnificent example of a gothic horror film sprinkled with erotic elements.

Today on the 5: Over the weekend I watched a pair of older horror films. The first one is Viy, a Russian folk horror film from 1967. It's a fairly simple story about a witch and young priest which I really enjoyed.
