Today on the 5: 9 years after it was released, I finally got around to watching the WNUF Halloween Special. I'd always heard good things about it, and it largely lives up to the praise.

Today on the 5: I recently received the fantastic new release of Righting Wrongs from Vinegar Syndrome. It contains multiple cuts of the film, including one that was produced based on test screening input. Most of the time that means an inferior cut, but in this case I think the changes were good!

Today on the 5: As part of Len Kabasinski's Tubi Tournament horror series, I watched a 2018 film called Knuckleball. It's a perfect example of burying a fun setup for a short film in a bloated full length feature.

Today on the 5: Today marks 1 year since the PC release of a video game called Chernobylite. I backed this game on Kickstarter, which can be a very hit or miss gamble when it comes to games. That makes it all the better for me to say I've been having a really great time with this game!

Today on the 5: My wife and I have been watching the Paramount+ series Evil. I have almost nothing bad to say about the show, but there is one thing I'm concerned might erode our enjoyment in the long run.

Today on the 5: Among the many trailers from San Diego Comic Con was Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Watching it was remarkable in that it was one of the worst trailers I think I’ve ever seen. While I don’t like trailers that tell the entire story of the movie, I generally expect to have some sense of what the hell is going on!

Today on the 5: I finished the first season of the Netflix Resident Evil series. While it definitely has flaws, overall I found it to be a pretty good show. It benefits from some great actors and manages to do some typically difficult things well.

Today on the 5: I watched the new Resident Evil series on Netflix, and overall I thought it was pretty good. I was expecting to be in the minority on that based on many reviews and what seemed like low enthusiasm about it, but I guess it was more popular than I anticipated.
