For this week's podcast we partnered with Global Gateways and had two of  the coordinators, Shaina Selvaraju and Steven Chen, interview Katelyn  Trieu (MFA Acting Candidate 2023) and Srijani Challagundla (BS  Biological Sciences and Global Gateways Coordinator) about their  personal experiences as international students at UConn during Covid-19.  We discuss the ICE ban that took place in early 2020, how UConn  supported them through this process, anti-Asian hate, and how they feel  about coming back to UConn in the Fall.

Today we are having a conversation with MESA, the Middle Eastern Students Association, about their organization and discussing sensitive ongoing issues within the Middle East. They will be sharing their personal experiences and views regarding these topics as well as talking about Middle Eastern representation here at UConn.
