In 2015, the food market in Belarus rapidly developed, changing from traditional brick and mortar stores to online retailing. Payment cards are being widely used in the country, and with cards comes the ease of online payments. Increasing penetration of mobile internet subscriptions also paved the way for this development. So far, Euroopt is the only company in Belarus providing internet food retail services, but the company has expanded into Russia where loyalty to Belarusian food products is historic. Euroopt has made a major breakthrough for other companies looking to expand in online food retail.
