I’ve been thinking about the process of packing and moving.
Not changing seasons, we’ve talked about that before.
I’m talking about places.
About levels.
About elevation.
There comes a moment when you realize you’re not meant to stay where you started.
You may still be in the same building, the same city, the same calling, but something inside you knows it’s time to go higher.
Because we are not packing to go lower.
Oh no.
When God calls us to move, it’s always upward.
What happens in a higher place?
Perspective changes.
Imagine standing on the first floor of a building. All you can see is what’s directly in front of you, the street, the noise, the limited view. Your understanding is shaped by proximity.
But then you move to the twentieth floor.
Suddenly, what felt overwhelming below, now looks smaller.
What felt confusing now looks clearer.
And what you couldn’t see before, the horizon, the distance, the possibilities, now comes into view.
Elevation doesn’t just change your location.
It changes your vision.
So I ask myself today, and I ask you:
Are we ready to pack and move?
Do we have what is needed?
Do we need more time, or is this the right time?
Sometimes we wait for perfect certainty.
Sometimes we hesitate because the familiar feels safe.
But growth rarely feels comfortable.
And higher places require lighter baggage.
Maybe packing means leaving behind fear.
Maybe it means folding up old doubts.
Maybe it means closing the door on voices that kept you small.
If today is your time, and deep down you know you’re ready, don’t hesitate.
Get those bags.
Roll the luggage.
Close the door.
Move higher.
The view from there will remind you
why you outgrew where you were,
And the real reason for your MOVE.
