This weeks guest on Stand Out with Ian O’Connell is Paddy Smyth. Paddy is from Dublin and is a disabled rights campaigner and TV personality, won Channel 4 social media-themed reality show The Circle in 2019. Paddy has also appeared as a contestant on First Dates Ireland and on Celebrity Pulling With my Parents. Paddy shared his struggles with cerebral palsy on The Circle and raised awareness. We will be talking about Paddy’s life growing up with cerebral palsy, the daily challenges that he faces, the good and bad of reality television, being an accidental disability activist and more.
