The Padres suffered their first series loss in their last eight tries, falling to the Cubs 5-4 at Petco on Wednesday. Miguel Andujar and Nick Castellanos both homered in the loss but Manny Machado grounded into an ill-timed double play to end the eighth inning with the potential tying run at third.
