The classic story of a young boy and his greek god father....totally normal. 

This book has been made into a movie, a tv show and a broadway musical, but for our first trip to camp halfblood we are covering the movie and yeah, its something. 

We cover molded breast plates, missing characters and Nicole has a massive freak out over Persephone.

Welcome to the podcast time machine. 

We are zooming back two years to when we brought you the epic novel The Hunter. Remember how we were supposed to watch Mel Gibson do his thing in Payback but the filmed seemed to be scrubbed from the internet and we ended up watching the amazing "Point Blank"? 

Well it seems Mel Gibson couldn't stay hidden for long! We FINALLY get to watch Payback in all its 90's glory!

To close out our "Boys will be boys" month we went treasure hunting with the Robert Louis Stevenson novel Treasure Island. Now, there were plenty of adaptations we could have gone with (including one with Christian Bale!) but lets be real, you know there is only one option for us and it was always going to be Muppet Treasure Island. 

We have discussed our muppet love before....but did we love this one?

The queen is coming! 

Rounding out our month of girl power, we have The Princess Diaries - the coming of age story where in the end, you get to be a princess. 

This book is short and nothing like the movie and no, the sequles to the book are not the same as the Princess Diaries 2 with Julie Andrews mattress surfing, but we get the best line reads ever from Sandra Oh, so we consider that a win.
