Pain Sucks Episode 009 – Upgrading our Words for Our Highest Choice for Healing with Dr. Mick Mahan

Dr. Mick is in private practice in the Houston, TX area.  While dealing with some major life struggles surrounding the health of his wife Tracy Dr. Mick realized that life was too much for him to handle.  While adjusting a patient one day a wise man caught on to the fact that Dr. Mick was exhausted in every stage and made the statement that Sarcasm (which Dr. Mick held the gold medal) means to tear the flesh.  This statement led him to a journey of understanding that his whole of life he was coming from (as most of us are) a place of “isn’t” defined by fear, anger, and PAIN.

We know there are 3 traumas in life

Physical

Chemical

Emotional, this is the one we need to understand as it sets a foundation for our life successes and is engrained and written into our DNA handed from generations previous.

Conscious Mind is our Heart’s Desires, our highest choices, and our yes and no

Our Unconscious Mind is a place where these emotional experiences written in our DNA play out in a place of co-dependence where our joy is entirely dependent on something outside of ourselves.

Symptoms are really Body Signals!

Our experience of pain is the sign that we are experiencing the last “emotional feeling” before enthusiasm.  It’s the rock bottom of that experience!

So, what we say matters.  Upgrading our self-talk

Trying to “get away” or “get something away” is an illusion

These patterns of emotions we have are simply survival techniques we have reinforced over and over!

How to Upgrade

  1. Faith of a mustard seed.  Declare what will be as it has already happened
  2. Ask better questions about the experience happening to uncover the pattern
    1. Example: Why is this happening to me?  Negative

                   What does this pain turn in to for me?  Positive

Everything we say gets answered

“this is typical of my life” will get answered

“I’m fully God supported” will get answered too!

  1. Understanding how to forgive.  All things are forgivable and so are all people

Low Back Pain is always about dealing with other people in our lives, codependency of us looking outside of ourselves for ways to be happy. 

            Right leg pain is dad

            Left leg is mom

Dr. Mick does an exercise called Imagination Activation

            Understanding your miracle (healing in this case) is already done then what is in your life now?  How do you feel now?  What are people saying about you and what are you saying about yourself? 

Flare ups was what we were asked about

            Recognize what pattern came up

            Flip the pattern.  Choose to love it!

            Pain turns to Ease when it is loved!

It’s always an internal job, never external, and always ends with LOVE
