This week I speak to Troy who runs the awesome Sonic Sledgehammer Studio Youtube channel. Troy is a first timer here on PATM so we do the deep dive into his backstory and spend some time pecking in parts that jumped out during the chat. I deeply enjoy Troy’s work on his channel, I think what he tries to achieve is fantastic along with his attitude, mentality, and outlook towards our hobby. He is a great personality and the hobby is richer because of people like him being in it.

This week I speak to Forrest Harris of Knuckleduster Miniatures. Forrest is just a brilliant human being first and foremost, but he is also the owner/operator of Knuckleduster. Knuckleduster make Gunfighters Ball and Gunfight Royale, both Wild West themed tabletop games, but you can also buy STL’s of and also physical versions of many Wild West themed minis. We talk about it in the show so I wont spoil any of it. Not the first time Forrest has been on so if you want to hear his back story you can listen to episode 194.

This week I speak to Andy Hobday. Andy has had a variety of roles in a variety of companies and it gives him a great breadth of experience that he brings to bear in the differing roles he has had within the hobby industry.

He currently writes rules sets for Wargames Atlantic, along with Warhost as part of his Hobday and Hicks effort. In this episode we talk about his work with Wargames Atlantic mostly, you can go back to episode 41 and 114, to hear more about Andy’s personal journey and his previous work.

This week I speak to Will Rahman-daultrey the writer of Forbidden Psalm and The Last War, amongst other things. Wont spoil any of the natural chat that occurs but what I will say is that the richness of Will’s own life, his perspective, his experiences, and his mentality has leaked all over his rule sets! From my view anyway. I think he has written games that, when you listen to his ethos and spirit really echo the essence of life in some ways.

There is a charming mentality in them, a paradoxical allegory of what our journey in life is like, mentally if not physically….or maybe I am talking nonsense, I dunno, you decide I guess. But I do want to extend a massive PATM thank you to Will for coming on the show and I will be moidering him incessantly until he is back on the show.

This week I speak to Graham Davey of Grey for Now Games. Graham has a deep, progressive, and interesting history in the hobby world. From working in a GW store, to Editorial, to White Dwarf, to writing his own games such as Test of Honour, 0200hrs, and most recently Guards of Traitors Toll. Such an interesting chap with so many insights and stories, hard to fit them into one episode! This week is the second conversation with Randall from the Imperial Minis Youtube channel. We pick up from the chat we had in episode 228, go and listen to that one if you havent already so you are up to speed before this one. In this show we talk about his YouTube channel, we talk about how he loves it when people call him Randy, his love of Moonstone, and much much more!

This week I talk once again to the amazing Mike Tunez of Firelock games. Firelock develop awesomeness. Their games are fun and engaging, from their settings to their mechanics, and all their interactions with us. I find them amazing. One of the biggest reasons why I love this hobby is that where in other hobbies you wouldnt dream of or have access to the big cheese at the top. For example you wouldnt dream of just contacting the guy who made Ping, the golfing company, but in this hobby, people like Mike actively seek interactions with us, its pretty special. 

I always enjoy talking to Mike, and knowing who he is, how he is, and they way he would like to deal with us in the hobby makes me what to play the games more and recommend them to others. Great games, great guy.
